What?

Long before the invention of engines and other technological advances, humans have used the basic and most effective raft made from raw materials viz. wooden logs, etc. for water body locomotion. Even today rafts are widely used all around the globe. Raft Building & testing is a great team-building activity to learn and overcome challenges.

How?

Each team is given the required material to build a raft. This activity is conducted where a water body is available to test the raft’s design and functionality. Once the teams are ready with their rafts, they test them in the water body and compete with other teams by riding their raft from one point to another.

Why?

Raft building throws challenges at a team in terms of project management. Right from resource management to operational excellence, this activity is packed with immense learning.
